HOW BILLING WORKS
Each model shows a typical per-message estimate (e.g. ~19 attach). That amount is held when you hit send.
When the response completes, we compute the message's real cost and adjust the hold — up or down — automatically.
Every message costs at least 5 attach ($0.005) — even on the cheapest models. That's the only minimum.
If a request fails or a stream breaks, the full hold is refunded. You only pay for delivered responses.
Short messages routinely settle below the estimate. Long, complex messages on premium models can settle above it — the estimate is a typical midpoint, not a cap.

Paid memory packs are billed in USD only, never in attach — a compliance choice that keeps attach a pure service credit. Sellers pay a 15% commission if they keep earnings as platform credit, or 20% when cashing out in USD via Stripe Connect.
Yes. In Chat → Store, create a pack (your expertise as reusable AI context), set a price ($3–99) or keep it free, and submit it for review. Paid packs require connecting a seller account first (Account → Seller, powered by Stripe). Your share lands in your Stripe balance on every sale and is paid out to your bank once it reaches the payout threshold.
Contact support first — defective or misdescribed packs are refundable within 14 days (Terms § 5.7), which is faster than a bank dispute. Your card statement shows BOTSTRAPP.AI, so charges are easy to recognize. If a sale is refunded or a dispute is lost, the seller's share is reversed automatically.
Yes — if you're patient. Select the BotStrApp.Ai (local) model and Philosopher answers are completely free: they run on our own hardware, which takes a few minutes per answer (a live counter shows progress). Pick Router or any cloud model instead and answers arrive in seconds, billed as a normal character turn. Patience is free, speed is paid — same knowledge either way.
The API returns HTTP 402 and responses are blocked until you top up; in Chat, models lock. Buy any pack and you're back instantly — packs are one-time, no subscription.
